Hilton Pennywell St. Louis at the Arch

I had a good experience here. The bar, front desk, and valet were excellent. The bar was nice and had a good selection of food and drinks. Beautiful hotel with lots of history and beautiful architecture. Only major thing I didn't like was that you couldn't room charge the market.

One of my favorite St. Louis hotels. The menu is limited, but they do everything really well. The bartenders are well versed in classic cocktails.... Well, except for margaritas. Big fail on the margaritas.

First time staying at this Hilton Pennywell, and it was gorgeous! The building was a beautiful restored old bank, so if you love historic buildings, this is a place to try. It was elegant and the front desk folks were incredibly nice. Our room was really nice as well. The only downside is our view was of some shuttered buildings across the street, which the hotel can't do anything about, so I'm not judging them for it. Wish the hotel was in a nicer spot, but still walking distance to the ballpark.

We stayed at the Pennywell St. Louis. Such a calm vibe and cool bank history. It was cool walking through the “vault” to see what snacks they had in hand. The vault doors were a standout. We ate dinner downstairs at the PennyDrop Bar and it was so good!! Unfortunately the kitchen was short staffed and our waiter, Anjus, made sure we were aware and okay with the wait time. AHectyrn took our drink and good order, repeated it back and had it perfect! Our bar tender Mio was gracious and made sure our drinks were full. The drinks were good and our Caesar salad and steak dinner did NOT disappoint!!! Then we met the manager of the restaurant, Maurio. I let him know that we were COMPLETELY satisfied with our drinks, dinner and service! We understood their situation and were in no hurry to have been fed. All 3 gentlemen appreciated our understanding and took care of us as such. Unfortunately they were met with some unhappy patrons, which is why we let them know of our happiness. Y’all need to give this restaurant a try, menu is small but is met with great flavor!!!

Beautiful historic property conveniently located to restaurants, attractions (see pics) and parking options. Impressive lobby area with self check out snack options. Very friendly staff. Soaring ceiling heights in the rooms. Very comfortable bed. Older property could use some touching up in the baths (caulking, grout). Loved the soft lighting option in the bathroom. The HVAC has a particular sequence to the buttons but it worked perfectly. Tv proportionate to room size. Generous fridge size. Coffee service in the lobby would be a nice touch. Overall great value, would definitely return.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our 5th anniversary. First things first, shoutout to Maurice and Coleman. They took care of us at the bar, providing excellent service and drinks. Zero complaints on the hotel in general. The whole aesthetic sets them apart from cookie cutter hotels. All of the staff were accommodating, the room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I highly recommend staying here, especially at the fair price.

I just spent a night at the Pennywell and really enjoyed it! I got salmon from the restaurant that tasted great, massive snack selection, the rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Can’t say much on the location because I’m not familiar with St. Louis but really liked the hotel overall!

Went to Pennywell and our server was Maria. She made the best cocktails I've ever had! My friends and I got espresso martinis and dirty martinis. I've tasted a lot of those and they were seriously the best I've ever had.
